Update januari 2023

With a heavy heart I have made the decision to stop Bad Decision Works as an official business. If I get the opportunity in the future to continue, I will do this, but I think it is best to be clear towards my customers and take this (bad) decision.

I am very sorry, but with all the things going on in my life right now I cannot also run a business on the side. Please keep in mind that I have been running BDW next to a fulltime job as developer.

Update november 2022

Still no news from the swedish authorities about my application for citizenship. I need the personal ID number they provide for pretty much anything, also for starting a company and start selling products. Without a company no supplies (steel, fastners, lasercut parts, etc) or affordable worldwide shipping.

Also I am still in the process of setting up a "temporary" workshop in a shipping container. The winters in Sweden can be quite harsh, but I am installing a heating system to battle the cold and the moisture inside. The basic installing of machines and tools is mostly done and I can start working on small personal projects.

Update september 2022

I am very sorry to disappoint some of you, but I will still be closed until further notice. I am having trouble getting my workshop back up and running and mostly with sorting the business/legal side of things in Sweden.

Beginning 2022

2022 will be a very special year for me, and therefor also for Bad Decision Works. Me and my girlfriend will be moving from The Netherlands to Sweden. As you can imagine moving to the other side of europe is a intense and busy undertaking. Since BDW is a side-project for me, next to a fulltime and stressfull job as developer I have to scale down the BDW efforts during 2022 to make sure the move goes well and I stay sane 😅

Will I continue in Sweden? Yes. But sadly I cannot tell you when or how. We will be renting a house without a workshop possibility for the first year. I will try my best to either create a suitable workshop space or rent one close to where we live, but I cannot guarantee this. Also I need some time to figure out how to start a company in Sweden, find a suitable accountant, etc, etc. 

I will keep the workshop and the webshop up and running as long as possible. The planned schedule for scaling down is as follows:

• Selling and shipping all products (including the ones that are made to order): until 15th of june.
• Selling and shipping products from stock (also spacers and adapters): until 15th of july.
• Completely offline during the move: 12th of july to 1st of september 16th of August.
• After the 16th of August wheel spacers/adapters will be for sale as usual.
• Workshop back up and running: to be determined.
